We are currently looking for a Payroll expert with people management experience to lead our expanding team, participate in wide variety of projects and continuously strive to deliver excellence in Customer Service within BD associates. Payroll Team Leader will be responsible for being expert in all related processes and country specifics, creating, owning and updating documentation, communicating changes and providing training to team members, continuously looking to improve work processes (re-engineering if necessary) to ensure the processes are working effectively at all times.
The right candidate should be able to lead the implement changes and manage projects to improve timeliness, accuracy and efficiency of the payroll processes as well as liaising effectively between various BD Departments internationally.
Some of your responsibilities as a Payroll Team Leader will include:
Validation of all payments and deductions and improve accurate controls
Allocate workload among team members
Handle escalations, investigate and eliminate root causes
Handle reporting requests to support decision making
Ensure full knowledge of BD policies and external taxation regulations and all payments are authorized, correct, and technically compliant
Acquire technical mastery of the payroll systems in place
Supporting the team in all administration aspects of their work and dealing with confidential documents in adherence to Data Protection law
Supporting manager in onboarding process of new Associates and train Payroll practitioners
Dealing with employee queries in a professional and timely manner (could be on the phone or face to face)
Corresponding with authorities and other institutions and working to tight deadlines
Requirements
The successful candidate should have a minimum of 3 years of experience as a Payroll Specialist and at least 3 years managing a team as well as relevant degree/ certifications. Apart from practical experience you would need to have a fluent command of English (any other European language is an advantage) with excellent communication skills with flexibility and friendly attitude. To be successful on this position you should have an advanced knowledge of MS Word and Excel and also be able to work in a fast paced, time specific and targeted environment
