BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Manager, Operations Finance in Wroclaw, Poland
Job Description Summary
The Manager, Operations Finance will assist the Senior Manager, Operations Finance and other leaders within Global Operations and Supply Chain in establishing key financial and operational performance indicators and analyzing against expectations. The financial support and operational analysis provided by this individual will allow for financial insights that will drive the strategic decisions, financial forecasts and operating plans within Global Operations.
The right person will be assisting the Senior Manager, Operations Finance in setting expectations for the network on items such as year on year manufacturing cost improvement, Cost to Win as a % of manufacturing cost, operational benchmarking, capital spending levels, Days of Inventory On-hand (DIOH), and other operational and financial metrics and focus on analytics and general support across the BDX Operations Network. This would include consolidated analysis for budgets, ASR, quarterly projections, and monthly performance (i.e. day 5/9 flash, Cost to Win analysis, etc.).
The scope of duties will also include:
Portfolio management of BDX capital spending. This would include actual reporting along with comparison of performance to quarterly forecasts, budgets, and three year strategic plans. This role will also work to identify system-based tools for capital management (either reinvigoration of legacy BPC program or other technical solutions).
Overall analysis of global inventory and comparison to days of inventory on hand expectations (DIOH).
Special projects and ad hoc analysis across the operations network.
The successful candidate will have a minimum of 4 to 6 years of relevant work experience in financial analysis and reporting required and a BA Degree in Accounting or Finance (MBA preferred). Additionally, will have strong interpersonal skills, with the ability to work with all levels of management and with diverse and multicultural international associates. Fluent English is a must.
Additionally, to the above experience we would be ideally looking for:
Strong communication and presentation skills along with the ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment, matrixed preferred.
Candidate must be highly proficient working with Microsoft Excel and formulas (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, etc.)
Candidate should have discounted cash flow financial modeling experience (NPV, IRR, etc.).
Proficient with other Microsoft tools (Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Working knowledge of SAP, HFM, BPC, and other ERP systems desirable.
