Country Finance Team Leader – Business Planning & Analysis

Role Profile:

Country Finance Team Leader will be located in BD Wrocław Shared Service Center and working as a part of COE Business Planning and Analysis organization in a direct reporting line to COE BP&A Manager. Country Finance Team Leader will be supervising a mid-size team of Financial Analysts responsible for planning and analysis of expenses related to:

  • Administrative functions (HR, IT, Finance, Procurement, Legal, Facilities)

  • Business supportive functions (Marketing, Selling, Customer Care, Quality)

Providing an end to end support to finance and business stakeholders is one of the key priorities for Team to ensure information flow and cost transparency by country, by function (P&L reporting line) during the fiscal year in order for BD to run highly profitable businesses in the European countries. The scope of current tasks performed by Country Finance Team includes:

  • Initial build & submission of financial plans (quarterly forecasting, annual budgeting)

  • Providing analysis and narratives to explain variances versus prior planning scenarios (prior budget, prior forecast)

  • Closing financial books in a monthly schedule, followed by variance analysis of Month End Close result and supporting commentary on performance

  • Running a cadence of financial reviews with senior business & finance stakeholders for all reporting cycles

  • Producing and highlighting trends in data & performance analysis

Key priorities for Country Finance Team Leader with regards to managing the Team of direct reports include:

  • Developing talents within a team of Financial Analysts based in Wroclaw COE,

  • Building a training plan and expertise within the Country Finance Team,

  • Running regular one to one meetings, mid-year & year-end performance reviews,

  • Leading Team throughout various project initiatives & workshops with regards to financial systems improvement, process improvements, finding synergies,

  • Collaboration and cooperation with BP&A Europe Organization, especially peers BP&A Europe Country Finance Director, Reporting and Business Team Leaders, COE Manager,

  • Taking a lead while working with Europe BP&A and Finance organizations,

  • Excellent communication skills (within Team and cross-team),

  • Quick learning and proactive with an attitude to work independently to resolve tasks,

  • Process improvement orientated (taking actions to follow-up and working cross-team wise to resolve),

  • Team player and an open communicator within a direct COE Country Finance Team,

  • Participation in project activities at different stages of implementation,

  • Introducing standardization in processes performed to continuously improve BP&A Country Finance Team performance,

Requirements:

  • Bachelor or Master Degree in Finance or related field (preferably Accounting / Controlling),

  • Experience in working in a Shared Service Center or a Center Of Excellence in a large international business environment within a matrix organization,

  • Experience in leading or supervising Team in a direct reporting line,

  • Very good analytical skills & presentation skills,

  • Excellent English skills,

  • Excellent MS Office skills (Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint),

  • Strong understanding of budgeting and planning techniques (budgeting, forecasting),

  • Good knowledge of accounting tools (SAP, Business Warehouse),

  • Good understanding of labor law regulations in Poland,

  • Good knowledge of BI reporting tools (QlikView, SAP, BPC) will be an asset,

  • Good understanding of project management methods and / or process improvement,

  • Flexibility and adaptability in changing environments
