Job Description Summary
This position is a 12 month FTC and will responsible for all Manufacturing engineering tasks in a manufacturing area in BD Enniscorthy. Responsibilities such as designs, develops and implements new products, processes, test methods and equipment. This position is responsible for both the technical aspects of product design and transferring these designs into manufacturing area. This position is also responsible for conducting engineering studies for process improvements and validations. Also the senior engineer will be responsible for managing a group of technical staff in their area of responsibility.

At the Enniscorthy facility, ClearStream manufactures mainly angioplasty catheters that are used in both coronary and peripheral procedures to unblock arteries. We are now recruiting a Senior Manufacturing Engineer.
As a Senior Manufacturing Engineer, you will design, develop and implement new products, processes, test methods and equipment. This position is responsible for both the technical aspects of product design and development as well as the translation of marketing requirements into product specifications. This position is also responsible for conducting engineering studies for process improvements and validations.
Initiates new or revised documentation and tracks through appropriate approval cycles and implementation;
Provides technical support on components, material methods, systems and equipment to other engineering / technical teams;
Capable of demonstrating those direct reports consistently follow company procedures and regulatory requirements, and appropriate actions are taken when required;
Manages project planning, budgeting, scheduling and tracking on large complex and multiple site projects;
Capable of managing and leading a small team of engineers, mentoring and coaching on day to day tasks and problems.
The successful candidate will have a strong background of designing and implementing new and complex process/equipment into process. You will have a Third Level Qualification or a Master’s Degree in Engineering.
The ideal candidate will have experience as the Lead Engineer preferably in a medical device manufacturing process. Be an expert in Minitab and or other statistical analysis software and have a Black Belt certified. High level of understanding of Lean and six sigma principles is required.
You will have to demonstrate ability in using statistical experimental design and analysis techniques. Significant experience in product verification and validation testing, medical device new product development and rapid prototyping.
You will have to maintain a professional working relationship with internal & external customer and support staff and participate and lead cross-functional teams on complex and diverse projects.
You will have to develop and implement procedures and policies. Analyzes problems in design, process and test development and recommend/implement solutions.
