BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Project Engineer in Tuas, Singapore
Job Description Summary
Provides leadership and supervision on to assure that all engineering projects are completed to meet customer requirements for a safe and quality work place, service response & operational continuity. Completes engineering projects by organizing and controlling project elements. Directs, coordinates, and exercises functional authority for planning, organization, control, integration, and completion of engineering project within area of assigned responsibility: Plans and formulates engineering program and organizes project staff according to project requirements
1.01In this role you will assist in capital equipment acquisition, installation and testing of equipment, commissioning of systems, and validation of facility/process equipment
1.02Supervise outsourced service contractors and ensure that deliverables are met on time and provided with agreed quality and service standards.
1.03Establishes and maintains strong engineering support and services, not limited to maintenance, modifications, design, renovation & facility improvements, to the operations to effectively support Value stream goals and needs.
1.04Ensures all engineering project related work complies with safety, environmental & regulatory requirements.
1.05Ensures open and complete communication with internal customers.
1.06Initiates Engineering related programs or plans to improve on the operational environment so that potential problems could be avoided and business continuity assured.
1.07Participate in meetings as required to understand operational requirements, concerns and issues and works with the team or department to effectively resolve.
1.08Lead the project management defination, planning and execution.
1.09Participate or drive continuous improvement initiatives/activities.
1.10Safety & ISO 14001 Environmental accountability: Ensure a safe, healthy and environmentally-friendly workplace by observing Company’s rules and procedures. Active involvement in prevention, elimination of potential safety hazards and participation in activities which promotes recycling, replacement and reduction of resource materials.
1.11Safety & health accountability: Safety and health are important to BD and we encourage the observance of all safety programs and training assigned to you. Such programs are to be attended in a timely manner to ensure that work tasks carried out are in accordance to our safety guidelines and SOPs.
1.12Perform any other tasks as assigned.
Knowledge & Experience
2.01Degree/Diploma in Electrical Mechanical Engineering or Facility related qualifications. Minimum 5-10 years experience working with facility in a manufacturing environment preferably in the medical device and/or pharmaceutical industry.
2.02Experience in managing non-exempt staff.
2.03Strong leadership, results orientated, project management skills, the ability to interact well with internal customers at all levels & external suppliers, excellent written and verbal communication, ability to learn quickly and adjust personally and to manage change within assigned team to respond to changes in customer requirements.
