Job Description Summary

Associate Marketing Director for Pharm Systems (PS) Greater Asia is responsible for working with the regional marketing team and strategic marketing director to meet strategic and financial objectives as well as developing strategies and initiatives for sustainable growth of the business in the region. He/she will focus on helping define and implement the region’s growth strategies, expanding addressable markets, assessing and developing potential growth opportunities within Greater Asia (GA) countries including Korea, China, India, and Japan. Additionally, he/she will be responsible for customer-centric solution development of the GA countries, deploying and developing appropriate training and tools in the region, and helping the country marketing teams in executing product launches and other strategic imperatives.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Leads the PS Greater Asia marketers and commercial teams in developing and executing critical regional initiatives

  • Works with Greater Asia country business leaders and marketing teams to identify attractive spaces, develop business cases, and facilitate discussions and decision making process

  • Creates and implements “How to Win Strategy” for the region and regional marketing plans

  • Provides regional input into WW new product strategies, market analysis, customer needs, portfolio management, marketing collaterals, and other strategic imperatives

  • Conducts regional business analytics and market trends analysis

  • Helps build the regional strategies and tactics for the Annual Strategic Review process and consolidation at the regional level

  • Coordinates and execute regional roll-out of major sales and marketing tools and training such as and customer segmentation

  • Develops regional strategies and branding efforts to establish category leadership positioning and collaborates with country business leaders on awareness creation/demand generation programs and market shaping

  • Provides active support and/or leadership on growth related projects and deep-dive workshop sessions such as country strategy sessions

  • Develops relationships with key opinion leaders for various regional initiatives

  • Leads the regional pricing governance and monitoring

  • Works with country business leaders and marketing teams on engaging with strategic account key stakeholders and regional KOLs

  • Works with country marketing teams on product recommendation/SKU prioritization and rationalization and identification of regional product needs

  • Provides active support and/or leadership on value offer adaptation and implementation in the region

  • Develops new product regional launch plans and assists in execution in collaboration with country marketers and helps coordinate appropriate internal training sessions


  • Bachelor's Degree required

  • MBA preferred with (if applicable) focus on Marketing or Healthcare Management


  • Minimum 8 years of experience in strategic or product marketing in pharmaceuticals or medical device industry including experience as marketing leader for a region or WW

  • Strong demonstrated strategic marketing, planning, market analysis, leadership capabilities to produce the anticipated revenue results

  • Experience leading a cross-functional and/or cross-country team

  • Highly-motivated, execution-focused leader with the ability to self-define role and activities necessary to create and execute regional initiatives

  • Experienced at creatively and successfully identifying and developing new markets and revenue growth opportunities

  • Experienced at developing deep, rigorous, analytical analysis that drives business decisions and strategy

  • Demonstrated ability to identify, prioritize and successfully advocate for opportunities to drive growth or improve operating performance

  • Deep understanding of Asia markets and/or working experience in Asia is a plus
