An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Specialist Nordic to be based in Sweden, in Gothenburg region with the surrounding area. This position requires “in-depth” clinical experience, knowledge with a background in VAD management is essential. In this position you will organize and carry out detailed clinical training as well as supporting customers in practice reviews as well as drive relationship development with customers.

As a Clinical Specialist you will also facilitate Advanced Practice PICC Placement/workshops in the Nordic countries. This position will report to the Clinical Manager Nordic MDS.

In this role you will establish and maintain personal contacts with customers, key customers and opinion leaders/KOL and actively participate in relevant health and clinical associations. Internal stakeholders are sales and marketing teams as well as Clinical managers.

You will be accountable for:

  • Advanced PICC Placement Workshops – this includes the theory component such as anatomy and physiology related to vascular access, device choice, complication management and ultrasound techniques with the opportunity for a practical training on mannequins. This will include PICC placement using Ultrasound technology (Site Rite), micro introducers, needle guides and ECG technology

  • Promote growth of PICCs, Sherlock 3CG technology, use of ultrasound and in key growth hospitals

  • Provide technical / clinical training to clinicians and colleagues and report on all clinical/ training activities.

  • Prepare and deliver product clinical training and ensure that clinical performance/ activity is implemented.

  • Coach/ motivate/ develop skills in the sales teams; also when implementing new products

  • Contribute to the design and development of clinical tools.

  • Support product evaluations/VOC process.

  • Prepare and present clinically focused presentations

  • Promote best practice advocacy

  • Monitor post trial conversions

  • Coordinate Audit/ reviews/ reports

  • Maintain focused on and be involved in development of guidelines and recommendations

  • Keep a Nordic focus and share time between countries

In this posititon you will be travelling 75-100 days/year (customer visits, co travelling, conferences, internal and external meetings, exhibitions etc)

The ideal candidate will likely have a scientific or medical background in the healthcare industry and preferably have a clinical background with clinical experience in both Clinical and Commercial settings. We are looking for a candidate who has a proven track record in the healthcare industry and is already familiar with PICC devices and modalities. You will be expected to maintain clinical proficiency to be capable of supporting cases in a competent manner.

Previous PICC placing experiences is required for this role.

In addition, you should be fluent in Swedish language and with good working knowledge in English.
