Job Description SummaryPrepare reagents and solutions in accordance with production schedule following GMP and department procedure. Complete all required documentation neatly, accurately, and in accordance with FDA, GMP, and ISO. Maintain lab supplies and equipment to support production. Perform calculations and prepare solutions for use in the manufacture of complex panel formats. Handle materials per GMP, MSDS, and safety regulations. Effectively work in a team setting supporting team and business goals and objectives. Must be able to handle volumes in excess of 10 liters and lift up to 25 pounds. Must be able to work overtime when necessary to meet business requirements. Responsible for own work and accountable for decisions made. Responsible for follow through on responsibilities assigned. Able to function under minimal supervision. Able to successfully complete other tasks as assigned.

Job Description

  • Responsible for manufacturing and assembling clinical and commercial products. Operates production equipment.Weighs, measures and checks raw materials to ensure batches manufactured contain proper ingredients and quantities. Assists with in-process testing to ensure batches meet specifications. Responsible for validating processes and equipment that are directly related to filtration, cleaning and sterilization. Assists in the removal and disposal of waste chemicals, solvents and acids. Identifies, troubleshoots, and resolves basic issues associated with scientific operations. Responsibilities and Duties

  • Cleans lab supplies and glassware

  • Builds panels/dispense bottle

  • Operates glass washers, dryers, and autoclaves

  • Creates label files from templates

  • Assists with the removal and disposal of waste chemicals

  • Creates solutions, powders, and liquids for batches to meet specifications

  • Provides training support for on-boarding and/or new procedures

  • Demonstrates the ability to follow established procedures according to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

  • Must follow all BD housekeeping policies and procedures

  • Must follow all BD safety policies and procedures

  • Must be able to work overtime as required to meet BD business requirements

  • Perform other duties as required

  • Minimum Education/Experience:

  • High school degree with technical certification in the area of laboratory operations plus 1 year laboratory experience, AS degree in a scientific discipline with 1 year laboratory experience, or BS degree in a scientific discipline

  • Basic Skills:

  • Ability to demonstrate strong teamwork and communication skills

  • Must be detail-oriented

  • Strong time management skills required

  • Proficient/Working Skills:

  • Must be proficient in English with the ability to read, write, analyze/evaluate charts, follow simple diagrams and perform basic arithmetic

  • Proficiency in MS Excel is required

  • D SHIFT WEEKENDS FRIDAY - SUNDAY 6:00 PM - 6:00 AM WITH $2.00 SHIFT DIFFERENTIAL
