BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Process Control Operator in Sandy, Utah

Job Description Summary

Job Description

  • Sample and inspect the product and record the results on the control charts.

  • Perform additional sampling as required.

  • Operate quality inspection instruments, i.e. Nikon, Chatillon, tool maker scope, etc.

  • Inform key personnel of any control chart points that are out of spec any trends which are of concern.

  • Initiate Quality Notifications as required.

  • Aid in problem solving of specific manufacturing problems.

  • Assist in training and certifying operators; quality inspections, machine operation, etc.

  • Run production equipment as required.

  • Maintain certification on all processes in the department.

  • Work overtime as needed by the department.

  • Actively participate in Continuous Improvement teams and activities, including 5S, blitzes, Shift Start-up, updating PVD boards, etc. Continuously improve through the KAS program, meeting department goals for completed KAS.

  • Comply with all local, state, federal, and BD safety regulations, policies, and procedures including RCRA Hazardous Waste regulations. Comply with all local BD quality policies, procedures, and practices through consistent application of sound quality assurance principles.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.Minimum Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED

  • 2 years of production processing and quality controlPreferred Skills:

  • Experience in a manufacturing environment

  • Mechanical aptitude

  • Comfortable working in a clean room environment
