Reporting to the Global Services Customer Facing Data Senior Manager, this position is responsible for driving and supporting best practices around Customer Data: management, governance, reporting and analysis in support of commercial business activities. Candidate should be passionate about master data and governance in order to drive and advocate for improved data management and governance maturity based on global requirements/regulations. Candidate should have working knowledge of master data management, functional knowledge of data governance frameworks, data quality processes, analytics and accompanying technology.

The Business Analyst will work closely with global associates in a variety of business units and departments, based on local team structures, working closely with the Data Quality and Data Stewardship Teams as well as leadership on occasion. The role will have interaction with business stakeholders, data owners and Data Service and other IT/business integration points. The role serves as an advocate for Data Governance Framework and Data Quality Standards and Processes. The role will drive continuous process improvement and support change management best practices with the businesses.

Responsibilities:

  • Familiarity with Customer Facing processes (e.g. Quote to Cash, Marketing)

  • Incorporate best practices, ensuring adherence to security, legal, privacy regulations

  • Must be able to partner with business stakeholders in order to facilitate detailed discussions to drive requirements and solutions

  • Drive elicitation, understanding and implementation of Business Requirements with functional project documentation (URS, test plan, PQ, etc.) and partner with project management

  • Responsible for driving process and capability design decisions for the entire lifecycle of the data

  • Assist with development of master data management roadmaps, processes, data standards, by evaluating current and future state

  • Collaborate with business and functional teams (Commercial Operations, Marketing, and other Customer Master Data owners)

  • Facilitate knowledge transfer and subject specific training of policies and procedures to data stewards and other business stakeholders

  • Facilitate the acquisition, maintenance, enhancement and corrections to information related to Products, Customers, Membership and Contracts data

  • Champion Global Services capabilities to all departments

  • Role will be executed in a BD office

Required Qualifications:

  • Two years’ experience in a related field (Customer Data, Life Sciences/Med Tech)

  • Experience with large datasets

  • Demonstrated ability to work across organizational and geographic boundaries; flexibility to support variety of time zones as needed

  • Excellent presentation and delivery skills that are flexible to accommodate variety of leadership levels and personalities

  • Ability to build consensus and buy-in with key stakeholders

  • Competency in setting and managing customer expectations

  • Ability to deliver quality results on time with minimal daily management

  • Understanding of Master Data Management activities and roles

  • Strong Understanding of Customer Facing and Commercial Operations from a Business Process, Governance and Stewardship perspective.

  • Familiarity with SAP 6.0 SD module

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred

  • Project Management experience a plus

  • Experience participating in large integration/acquisitions a plus

  • Preferred experience in Customer Facing Master Data technology and data mapping/logic (Salesforce, ServiceMax, Vistex – non-exhaustive list)

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Strong team player with willingness to collaborate, with self-sufficiency

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and verbal) and the ability to establish rapport with internal clients and colleagues

  • Ability to lead and influence teams

  • Strong analytical and problem solving/decision making skills
