Summary

Leads all aspects of facilities operations for sites in the North America region and implements effective strategies for driving long-term success by utilizing knowledge of the technical and business services requirements of site stakeholders. Also, leads the site governance responsibilities around the integrated facilities management model and uses the performance management process to drive consistency across sites; efficient meeting facilitation techniques that produce effective outcomes; applying time-management skills to planning and managing the integrated facilities management relationship, associated projects; continuously evaluating spend and cost savings targets; and ensuring time and resource investment to produce greater returns.

This individual cultivates existing business relationships by managing the stakeholder experience; proactive communication; ensuring key stakeholder satisfaction is met; positioning oneself as a key member in the client setting; utilizing negotiation skills and strategic relationship building; demonstrating a comprehensive understanding of contract vehicles; promoting a key stakeholder service focus within the team; maintaining relationships with new and existing contacts within an account; expanding relationships with clients and external partners; and developing, maintaining, and leveraging strong existing relationships.

Driving performance results through the use of governance and aligning site budgets and customers’ expectations to maximize ROI. Is familiar with and can utilize key performance indicators, dashboards and CSAT surveys to improve performance through CI. Having the knowledge and insight to identify issues before they occur or become larger and ability to mitigate impact and implement solutions.

Exhibits a safety centered mind set aimed at a proactive and well-communicated safety and emergency response program. Works with all site EH&S and security representatives to ensure a consistent approach to safety and security.

Researches BD site business drivers and helps to maximize benefit by understanding IFM methodologies and latest advancements; retaining knowledge of the facilities industry and using to implement successful strategies; collaborating with specialists in support services like internal IT and GRC; identifying critical factors aligned to the specific account; driving new business within the company; developing knowledge on competitors and how to be better in leveraging IFM strategies; navigates a complex set of tools and support structures.

Resolves problems/issues within the BD sites by methodically identifying stakeholder issues/pains; being a primary point of contact; utilizing expertise in development of solutions; collaborating with internal resources; engaging the proper resources; and communicating the key stakeholder’s report issue to the account team.

Responsibilities (% of Time estimated)

  • 45%- Create the strategic direction and partner with the sites and business unit leadership to execute consistently. Meeting facilitation and presentations to site leadership. Participation during weekly, monthly and quarterly business reviews with key suppliers.

  • 25%- Managing and coaching team members at the local sites.

  • 10%- Relationship management over our global integrated facilities management supplier(s)Performance analytics of IFM data

  • 15% Support of corporate facilities and continuous improvement (CI)

Scope of Responsibility:

Interfaces with site leadership around their facilities operations and performance objectives. This will include discussing performance analytics with leadership and driving results that improve long term operations and generate cost savings. Some issues may be relatively complex

Sphere of Influence : Describe the degree to which a position influences and guides business activities, decisions and processes within a function or unit, as well as across organization boundaries. Provide an example(s).

Direct influence over a regional facilities portfolio for mixed use (manufacturing and non-manufacturing sites) interfacing with plant management and business unit operations leaders (VP’s). A member of the IFM global governance team.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree required, engineering or related field strongly preferred

  • Minimum of 10 years experience in facilities/operations, with minimum of 5 years' direct Integrated Facilities Management experience within a High Tech industry with plant and mixed use site experience.

  • Budget management experience over facilities operations budgets of $10 million or more.

  • Understanding of manufacturing, engineering and maintenance operations

  • Experience working in an FDA regulated environment strongly preferred

  • Change Management orIFMA certification preferred

  • Technical certifications in HVAC, building automation or controls preferred

  • Must have excellent verbal and written communication skills and be able to present in both small and large group settings.

  • Must have a polished, professional presentation skills.

  • Demonstrated stable track record of success in troubleshooting and implementing FM solutions and Continuous Improvement projects.

  • Experience developing, researching and presenting formal presentations to senior level management and other end users.

  • Technical aptitude with proficiency with MS products including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

  • Familiar with local marketplace, companies and community in geographies stated above.

  • Excellent team leadership skills and the ability to motivate and direct a group of facilities professionals.
