The role of Director - Portfolio, Projects & Change for the Business Partner Regions & EPPM team serves as a key driver for day-to-day effectiveness & efficiency of the team, as well as primary advisor around strategy, technology, innovation & leadership. This critical role will increase the bandwidth of the SVP in such a way as to concentrate their time, effort & priorities on strategic initiatives. The primary focus is to ensure the organization & book of work is delivered as planned, measured & communicated appropriately. The role will interface with both TGS leadership & teams, as well as key business stakeholders. This leadership position reports directly to the SVP Business Partner Regions & EPPM organization, & will serve on the leadership team.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Primary responsibilities will include:

  • Serve as the “right hand” to the Business Partner Regions & EPPM Leader, enabling a robust governance structure, processes to ensure the organization meets commitments efficiently, with excellence & quality.

  • Co-ordinate & support development of the management & Hoshin plans, playbooks together with measurement systems & management reports including KPIs, balanced scorecards & dashboards

  • Lead strategic planning & transformation activities for the organization to ensure we are continuously evolving & improving our operating model, curating our talent & leveraging technology to drive efficiencies.

  • Plan, co-ordinate & facilitate leadership team meetings, development events & planning calendar.

  • Support the development & execution of leadership goal plans & objectives.

  • Work with TGS communications & adoption team, as well as other relevant communications teams to ensure key messages reach the appropriate internal target audiences.

  • Develop & maintain the collaborative sites (Teams, Sharepoint) & shared areas required to manage leadership team information & content

  • Work with TGS Functional Excellence to ensure that portfolios are integrated into the overall TGS operating model & meet any compliance or risk requirements

  • Collaborate with other TGS portfolio teams to integrate status & support project implementation

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE

The ideal candidate will bring a combination of strategic understanding, change management experience & exceptional communication & analytical skills together. In addition, this person should also possess:

  • 8+ years of relevant experience, building & leading global teams

  • Excellent written & oral communication & networking skills

  • Excellent judgement & effective decision-making & problem-solving skills

  • Highly organized, outcome oriented with excellent planning & motivational skills

  • Influencing & diplomacy skills, with an ability to lead and drive change in a collaborative, positive way.

  • Innovative thinking, strategic focus & aptitude that challenges the status quo

  • Organizational agility with a proven track record in collaborating across organizational & cultural boundaries – experience working in a highly matrixed environment.

  • Relationship management with an ability to work effectively with multiple layers of the organization – in particular, working with / supporting executive team members is critical

  • Executive oriented business strategy development & management – from visioning to tactical implementation.

  • Deeply analytical, with experience in budget & resource planning, management. Strong financial acumen is a must

  • Ability to communicate complex business / technical challenges in a simplified manner

  • Accountability, leading by example – mentoring & motivating others

  • Resilience, grit, empathy and accountability

EDUCATION

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or a related field is required. Master’s degree highly desirable. PMP or similarly recognized certification is preferred. Educational certificate or training in a process methodology (Six Sigma, Lean, etc.) is a plus.
