OBJECTIVES OF JOB

Ø Introduce the BD Medical concept of “Best Clinical Practice” with regards to the clinical application of BD Medical products in conjunction with BD Medical Value Added Training and educational programs.

Ø Gain market understanding of current trends in clinical practice with regards to the use of medical devices.

Ø Gain the acceptance of BD Medical products and systems among the end-users in clinics and hospitals.

Ø Work closely with BD Medical Sales Team, Distributor Sales Executives, Sales Representatives and CRC’s (where applicable), by providing relevant clinical support to justify “Best Clinical Practice” that enhance standards and drive/improve sales.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES AND FUNCTIONS

Ø Sales Support:

Liaise and work with the Sales Teams (BD & Distributor) to provide customers with clinical and product education / training to support BD Medical products in the region.

o Build business relationships within hospital accounts to maximize sales of a specified range of products by creating and developing “Best Clinical Practice” procedures.

o Represent BD Medical in a professional manner on all occasions whilst providing the customer (as appropriate) an awareness of the full range of BD Medical products available in the Middle East.

o Position BD Medical products by providing clinically relevant solutions.

o Conduct product evaluations and clinical audits.

o Manage in-service process as part of conversion process.

o Provide ongoing clinical support to Sales teams (BD & Distributor) and the customer through BD Value Added Service.

Ø Training and Education:

o To prepare and present clinically orientated but commercially focused product training programs for identified customers - hospitals.

o To prepare and deliver clinically relevant presentations that focus on product positioning at relevant clinical workshops, seminars and informal meetings.

o Adapt BD Medical training and educational programs in accordance with local legislation where required.

Ø Market Information:

o Support BD Sales Management and BD Distributors in identifying, selecting, validating and prioritizing Target Accounts and Key Customers.

o Communication of market and competitor information resulting from job activities to relevant BD personnel – specifically Management, Marketing and Clinical.

o Work in close liaison with BD Marketing and Clinical (EMA, European & USA) to obtain relevant market, product and clinical information and provide feedback to sales teams and/or customers.

o Collect and analyze customer, competitor and clinical information obtained from the hospitals and identify opportunities to position BD Medical Products.

Ø Promote BD Clinical Expertise:

§ Build relationships and communicate with key clinicians and opinion leaders to influence and maintain awareness of ‘Best Clinical Practice’, trends, standards and procedures that are related to BD Medical Products.

§ Attend relevant meetings, conferences, and exhibitions to promote BD Medical’s Clinical Concept, Company Image and Products.

§ Continuously update knowledge on relevant clinical practices, standards, procedures and legislation by attending relevant internal and external training, membership with specific healthcare worker societies/associations, etc…

EDUCATION AND BUSINESS EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

§ Professional nursing/clinical education (Diploma in General Nursing = minimum requirement)

§ At least four years working within the Healthcare environment. Both Private and State institutions.

§ Experience in organizing and conducting training and education programs/seminars etc.

§ An understanding of the Health Care Industry, key drivers, and influencers, in order to establish effective account objectives.

§ PC Skills – use of Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint

§ Multi lingual

§ Driving license

§ An ability to identify business opportunities in relation to retention and growth strategies.

§ Influencing skills – communication, listening, and persuasion.

§ Communication and presentation Skills –verbal and non verbal to a high standard.

§ Interpersonal and communication skills.

§ Ability to work autonomously, and be capable of independently generating, prioritizing and handling own work.

§ Organization skills – being able to independently organize workshops, seminars, meetings etc…

§ Team player.

§ Flexibility and willingness to travel.
