BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Sr. Buyer in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, Mexico
The Sr. Buyer is responsible to interact with supply base and internal personnel to identify and implement cost reductions opportunities. It is proficient in all aspects of purchasing fundamentals, RFQ issuance, bid analysis, source selection, negotiation , primary to achieving success.
The Sr. Buyer is responsible for strategic procurement, managing supplier relationship, supply chain security, supplier measurement, supplier contracts (or agreements), and supplier pricing for supply base within the suppliers assigned
Continuous pricing negotiation.
To maintain supplier/Item relationship.
To update MRP system to reflect supplier agreements.
Continuous PPV review for year goal accomplishments.
To review supplier quality issues; coordinate RTV.
To support Quality with supplier corrective and preventive actions requests escalation path.
To support Quality with required supplier documentation.
Write SCARS for suppliers with low trend and follow up on corrective actions.
Payments terms negotiation.To monitor completion of supplier credits.
To participate and provide accurate information to item cost standard preparation.
To support Customs with required supplier documentation.
Candidate shall be self-motivated, energetic, schedule driven, a talented negotiator and bring synergy to the team.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, necessary to articulate ideas and prepare analysis required. Must be an excellent communicator who can comfortably work with and presents to peers, engineers and executive team.
Demonstrate analytical, methodical and resourceful approach to problem solving required.
Able to summarize large amounts of complex data into meaningful/reports to inform important decisions.
Demonstrate strong interpersonal skills, necessary to build and maintain effective relationship at different levels (technical and functional) of the organization (internal and external) is required.
Strong organizational and time management skills required. Able to successfully handle multiple tasks simultaneously and prioritized them to ensure completion of project goals and objectives required.
Able to work independently with minimal supervision as well as part of team in a consistently changing environment required.
Must be view as a contributing member of the procurement team able to share information and individual excellence to help the team achieve its shared goals and objectives
Highly Preferred: APICS or ISM certification.
Knowledge of ERP/MRP system required.
Minimum 5 years of experience managing procurement.
