The Glens Falls Operation is known as Bard’s Technology Center and is Bard’s largest domestic manufacturing facility employing approximately 700 in a three shift operation. The Glens Falls Operation manufactures over 20 different product lines serving all Bard Divisions

Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:

To support Quality Assurance inspection and/or Laboratory activities through inspection and verification of manufactured product, materials, and documentation associated with the manufacture of medical devices at this facility.

Essential job Functions:

  • Inspect product and raw materials to specified parameters using sampling plans in accordance with documented procedures .

  • Verify completeness and accuracy of Device History Records and test data following appropriate procedures.

  • Collect, document and maintain accurate manual and computerized records, including complaint evaluation and reporting.

  • Assist in the development of appropriate corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Set up, maintenance, and operation of inspection test equipment.

  • Communicate effectively (orally and in writing) with co-workers, superiors, support teams, others within the organization, outside vendors and other Bard divisions.

  • Actively apply Quality control concepts to meet compliance needs. (i.e. GMP, OSHA, Divisional and Corporate guidelines)

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Mechanical aptitude, capable of operating inspection/test equipment.

  • Must be able to understand laboratory test methods and equipment.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Statistical math skills up to trigonometry(must understand mean, std. deviations).
