Job Description Summary
The Supply Chain Analyst works independently to perform Supply Chain activities for an assigned product portfolio to optimize inventory, minimize costs and set and achieve customer service goals.
This includes forecasting, master production scheduling, capacity planning, execution oversight, and monitoring and reporting of results.
He/she provides input for the SIOP process for a given business segment in order to align market and financial requirements with manufacturing capabilities.
Main responsibilities (including, but not limited)
Provide oversight of manufacturing, inventory deployment and distribution to ensure customer service.
Serve as primary contact with manufacturing for planning issues.
Conduct analysis and provide direction for inventory allocation where worldwide service is maximized.
Monitor capacity loading on assigned production lines and forecast.
Complete complex spreadsheet analysis during issue resolution or scenario planning.
Lead the planning aspects of new product launches during the pre-launch phase.
Leverage Lean or Six Sigma tools for process improvement in order to increase service and optimize inventory.
Maintain & develop databases for information required for decision-making.
Prepare Executive Level presentations as required.
Determine new product ramp-up schedules.
Manage product phase-outs such that obsolete inventory is minimized.
Conduct SKU rationalization and other lifecycle management analyses.
Provide input to demand forecasts.
Provide analyses to Product Managers and Marketing to decrease demand variations.
Contribute the planning aspects of new product launches during the pre-launch phase.
Perform basic financial analyses.
Ensure personal and company compliance with all Federal, State, local and company regulations, policies and procedures for Health, Safety and Environmental compliance.
Bachelor Degree in Business, Supply Chain, Industrial Engineering, Logistics or Operations required; or MBA/MS in relevant discipline or equivalent combination of education and experience.
BS/BA Degree with 4 to 9 years of related experience; or MBA/MS in relevant discipline and 2 to 7 years of related experience; or equivalent through education and experience.
Excellent knowledge (oral and written) of English, any other European language is an asset.
MS-Office with excellent knowledge of Excel and Access.
Working knowledge of planning systems - JD Edwards and Oracle ASCP - is a plus.
Demonstrated ERP/ APS systems experience required.
Experience with capacity planning and inventory management.
Must have strong interpersonal, communication, analytical, project management and consulting skills, with the ability to influence, work effectively, and implement solutions in a cross-functional, team environment.
