BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Marketing Intern in New Jersey
Job Description Summary
The Biosurgery WW Platform is responsible for growing the global business reach of BD Interventional Biosurgery product offerings. This intern will provide support for internal cross-functional teams and assist on multiple projects. The ideal candidate for this position is someone who is highly motivated to grow within the organization in the future, thrives in an environment of creativity and accountability, and is capable of performing at a high level across a wide array of assignments.
Under the leadership and direction of staff within the Biosurgery Platform team, this semester long internship will offer the opportunity for a student to gain experience by assisting in the execution of internal marketing and sales training initiatives, as well as the analysis of monthly financial documents and organizing data into comprehensible presentations for a leading global medical device company.
This position also entails organizing and tracking the Product Release to Market/Country Launch Preparedness (PRM/CLP) process for the release of products into international markets. This intern will also gain exposure to international business, product development, RA systems, and commercial strategies.
The Marketing Intern for the Biosurgery team will participate in data gathering and analysis, daily meetings with team members, individual quarterly country meetings, attend other company meetings, and will have the opportunity to participate in several 1:1 meetings with the leadership at BD to discuss career options in the medical device field.
This is a paid position.
Essential Duties and Position Responsibilities
Assist in management and tracking of marketing tools and systems
Attend and participate in team meetings
Prepare monthly financial documents and summaries for management
Create reports and presentations for the Biosurgery Platform team
Track PRM’s and CLP’s for International product launches
Knowledge and Skills
- Business major or applicable undergrad or masters level program (e.g. MBA)
Excellent personal communication skills
Must have the ability to work on several projects simultaneously
Must be able to prioritize responsibilities
Must be comfortable working in a fast paced environment of accountability
Self-motivated, ability to work independently
Strong writing and grammatical skills
Strong organizational skills and detail oriented
Understanding of Microsoft Office Software applications and web based systems a plus
Exceptional drive to pursue a career in medical device
Position will be part-time during fall / spring semester
Position requires full-time (40 hours/week) during summer semester
During regular business hours 8AM-5PM Monday – Friday
