BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) QRM Quality Coordinator in Murray Hill, New Jersey

As a member of the Quality team, the Quality Coordinator will be responsible for supporting the team on various projects. Coordinating the document management process as required by procedure. Ensuring accurate and timely processing of document releases. Tracking, reporting and auditing of quality processes and coordinating core business meetings. This position will be responsible for the projects relating to quality processes, quality data and data compilation from external and internal sources. Report and analyze Quality data as appropriate. Quality coordinator will assist and ensure timely processing of items through segment level activities as required. Quality Coordinator will build strong relationships with cross functional partners by exhibiting clear communication and delivering a quick response to business needs.

  • Provide coordination and tracking of and response to customer/internal data requests as well as segment level processes

  • Facilitate the creation & ongoing maintenance of BDI segment level standards and procedures & their associated training requirements

  • Process Segment documents/ forms that are created or revised & distribute for review and approval internally & externally as appropriate. This activity will be both manual and utilize an automated EDMS

  • Coordinate establishment of training requirements for newly created segment documents.

  • Ensure timely processing of documents for release

  • Maintain record retention periods for hard copy documentation in accordance with procedures

  • Coordinate with internal, business unit representatives and outside organizations to facilitate data and document needs

  • Data collection, tracking, analysis, and reporting

  • Document management and coordination

  • May conduct system admin functions for EDMS

  • Collect, identify, correct and report data related issues and recommend appropriate steps to rectify issues within source systems.

  • Compile and distribute reports as required

  • Align and integrate with other coordinators as required.

  • Provide back up support for other administrative assistants or coordinators when required.

Additional areas of responsibility as assigned

Associates Degree or other college degree required

5+ years of job related experience. Including EDMS use

High level of accuracy & attention to detail

Competent in technical wording and documentation

Ability to solve job-related problems independently. Exercise judgment related to prioritization of work as well as interpreting and applying regulatory requirements.

Excellent communication skills with the ability to interact with internal and external people at all professional levels.

Ability to handle confidential information

Strong organizational skills with ability to handle matters independently and manage large amounts of information

Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize

Proficient in the use of personal computer (MS Windows) and a variety of desktop software including: word processing (MS Word), as well as Microsoft Excel (spreadsheet), Power Point (presentation), Access (database) and Adobe Acrobat Writer/Distiller, scanner use

  • Background in statistics

Medical device quality systems experience a plus
