BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Production Operator Level 1- 2nd Shift in Moncks Corner, South Carolina

Punches eyes in the All Purpose catheters after they are stripped from the forms and inspects quality of punch.

  • Punch All Purpose catheters using punch machine.

  • Inspect for eye quality and other defects.

  • Bag work.

  • Make adjustments to dies.

  • Must be able to operate a foot pedal repeatedly under the inspection/punch table.

  • Must be able to fill in for department utility.

  • Must be able to use/read ruler and other measurement devices.

  • Must be able to keep accurate records.

  • Must follow all GMP/BOP guidelines.

  • Maintain clean and organized work area as outlined in the GMPs.

  • Other duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION/TRAINING/SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential job duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

  • High School diploma or GED

  • Ability to read, write, and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

  • Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations.

  • Ability to add subtract multiply and divide in all units of measure, including whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals

  • Accurately able to measure weight, volume and temperature.

2nd Shift: Monday-Friday:2p-10p

Must be able to train of 1st shift, 6am -2pm

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK REQUIREMENTS:

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to stand; reach with hands and arms; use hands or arms (to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls).

  • The employee is occasionally required to walk; stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl; and talk or hear.

  • The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 35 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move more than 100 pounds with the assistance of drum moving equipment.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee frequently works near moving mechanical parts.

  • The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.

  • The employee is not subjected to noise above OSHA levels without providing hearing protection, which will attenuate the noise to less than 85 db.

  • The Personal Protective Equipment required to perform this job safely includes safety glasses, gloves, and appropriate shoes.
