Job Description Summary
The Marketing Manager, leads strategy and messaging, for all software and services, inclusive of Guardrails medication safety, connectivity and interoperability solutions, across Australia and New Zealand. The purpose is to ensure sustained profitable growth is achieved and also create new revenue streams.
Assist in the achievement of the annual BD revenue and gross profit targets for ANZ; assist in achievement of OIBT business commitments by controlling expenses to meet budget guidelines, in particular, deliver marketing activities within agreed budget.
Provide input into the development and execution of the overall business objectives and strategies.
Participate in the development of the annual strategic review, providing input into the budget discussions. Adoption of the BD ANZ Way of Marketing:
Develop and deliver effective business and segment specific strategies for the attainment of the annual budgetary goals. Such strategies will address issues of resource, strategic implementation and business development opportunities.
Conduct market research to determine market requirements for existing and future products; support product demonstrations/trials/evaluations; nurture KOLs to develop local publications that support the selling effort.
Develop pricing strategies to guide the selling effort and generate profitable business.
Develop tools to support the selling process – financial spreadsheets; quotation and proposal templates; marketing collateral etc.
Maintain a high level of market knowledge and remain up-to-date with changes in the business environment and relevant technologies that may be on the rise.
Ensure such information is appropriately reported. Works collaboratively to drive the tender process, to ensure the tender response positions BD to win.
As relevant be involved with the S&OP. Spend at least 20% of time in the field with sales associates understanding how marketing imperatives are playing out in the field.
As appropriate engagement with key market stakeholders, such as associations, Government and Government groups/offices, industry bodies, key accounts etc.
Able to develop and execute marketing initiatives and launch plans including pricing, and messaging.
Ensure timely communication to appropriate marketing and sales personnel relating to promotional materials and development of effective sales aids and clinical education support materials.
Plays critical role in key projects/ initiatives, often leading project/ initiative teams, including strategic marketing representative of product development core team
SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE & EXPERIENCE :
Bachelor's degree in IT, Marketing, Business, Communications or a related field Tertiary.
Product management experience with software and services
Minimum 2-3 years’ experience in core marketing role
HIT Vendor Partnership experience
Sales experience desirable.
Solid experience in Healthcare IT
Experience is software/service related contracts and agreements with customers/vendor partners
Effective analytical and problem solving skills along with planning and time management are required.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, effective team leadership and group presentation skills. White boarding proficiency
Strong PC skills particularly Excel /PowerPoint
Solid customer engagement skills;
Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with a range of stakeholders including customers, partners and all levels within the organisation (incl. overseas colleagues)
