Job Description Summary
The SQR is accountable for the overall quality of the product, process, service and outgoing quality for assigned suppliers.
The SQR represents BD at the Supplier, and represents the Supplier at BD, for all quality aspects.
Support the selection process for potential new suppliers to BD-PS from Quality perspective under its field of expertise / Supplier category (Rubber, Glass, plastic, …)
Ensures that all BD requirements are understood and addressed at the supplier across the late stages of the Supplier Management lifecycle
C ontribute as Supplier Subject Matter Expert to 8D investigation ever triggered by Customer complaints or plant deviation management. Provide technical input, carry out investigation assignments, report progress and deliver conclusion.
Ensure the Supplier investigation thread is timely carried out and following a structured problem-solving approach.
Crisis Mode : Act as first escalation point of contact in support to Plant SQR or HAWA Team and Lead the 8D internal Team when potential disruptions to manufacturing, customer supply is suspected to be linked to assigned suppliers.
Note: For Customer Complaints crisis mode, the 8D leader will remain always at Plant investigation or CQM level.
Lead for Cause audits at Suppliers for assigned suppliers but not restrictively
Conduct supplier routine quality audits as necessary. Ensure adherence to BD requirements is maintained after Supplier Approval state
Quality Contracts: Negotiate Quality Agreements based on standard template. Ensure that committed agreements are aligned with BD strategy. Initiate signature process of Supplier Quality Agreements after review by appropriate functions.
Ensure regular follow-up of Supplier Quality Agreements with the assigned Suppliers to maintain alignment with BD’s expectations
Note: Technical agreements are handled by SQE in project mode. Whenever a Technical agreement is required outside a formalized project, SQR will be in charge to setup such contract.
Note2: TA sustaining under SQR responsibility
- Review & approve 8D reports prepared by Complaint coordinator related to outsourced operation (HAWA manufacturing or service) from assigned suppliers.
When required support complaint coordinator in sharing Supplier knowledge to drive more pertinent investigation.
- Participate in Supplier evaluations and performance monitoring programs based on set of agreed KPI's and targets.
Collects and analyzes quality metrics from various quality systems and develops reports as needed for Business reviews. Provides recommendations based on trends.
- Lead or assist in supplier development/improvement projects . Coach, teach, and support current suppliers in all areas as needed.
Ensures suppliers are held accountable for meeting continuous improvement initiatives both from a strategic and tactical perspective
Be knowledgeable of supplier quality related activities.
Manages and monitors implementation and effectiveness of corrective actions related to Complaint or Audit findings
Keep abreast of changes and future directions in the supplier quality field. Act the point of contact to be informed of any official notification of change. Document this change into BD QMS requirements and submit this change to the relevant Change Control Board (CCB).
Answer audit solicitation from Customer, authorities & notified bodies for products or services related to assigned suppliers. This includes answering to surveys and questionnaires when required.
