Job Description Summary

Within the WW Supply Chain, reporting to the WW Planning & Inventory Associated Director, the Planning Expert & Operational Excellence is the referent within the SNP team, ensures knowledge transfer to the SNPs and drives improvement initiatives related to planning and supply processes to bring efficiency in the SNPs day to day activities.

He leads KPI reviews and reporting. Focusing on inventory, he designs the strategy and drives reporting, projections and optimization actions with appropriate stakeholders according to the performance levels set by the business.

Job Description

Mission:

Within the WW Supply Chain, reporting to the WW Planning & Inventory Associated Director, the Planning Expert & Operational Excellence is the referent within the SNP team, ensures knowledge transfer to the SNPs and drives improvement initiatives related to planning and supply processes to bring efficiency in the SNPs day to day activities.

He leads KPI reviews and reporting. Focusing on inventory, he designs the strategy and drives reporting, projections and optimization actions with appropriate stakeholders according to the performance levels set by the business.

Main responsibilities:

Activities

Inventory Optimization

  • Take part on Inventory strategies definition on a Worldwide scope, in collaboration with Worldwide Inventory Planners,

  • Monitor and ensure alignment of actual & projected inventories to defined levels ; identify balancing opportunities to efficiently leverage overall levels of inventory and increase Inventory turns,

  • Lead Excess & Obsoletes reporting, and follow-up action plan to reduce level of dead stocks,

  • Collaborate with Sales & Marketing teams to promote inventories identified as Overstock, based on defined inventory strategies.

Process Optimization & Continuous Improvement

  • Analyzes the KPIs for the perimeter to support reporting, action plans definition and follow-up (Delivery Performance, Back Order, Inventory) ; defines relevant KPI to measure efficiency of Supply Chain processes; identify needs and develop tools & processes to increase Business performance level.

  • Ensure that key processes for Planning activities are identified, documented and properly executed across PS Supply Chain network,

  • Identify best practices all across PS Supply Chain network, and ensure practices harmonization & evolution,

  • Responsible for Supply Chain documentation maintenance & procedures application,

  • Evaluate impact & maturity of Supply Chain processes ; lead gap analysis to identify relevant improvement actions, and ensure action plan execution in line with targeted schedule,

  • Identify needs and develop tools & processes to improve efficiency of Supply Chain processes

  • Build and maintain Continuous Improvement dashboard to foster CI culture all across the network and share good practices and improvements made.

  • Identify relevant internal external benchmarking opportunities to bring best-in-class practices from overall industrial environment to BD Pharmaceutical Systems

Skills Management & Training

  • Identify key skills & competencies within PS Supply Chain activities,

  • Monitor alignment between associates competencies & targeted level of skills,

  • Develop training material & provide courses to PS Supply Chain associates to reach expected level of mastery.

Requested skills:

School background or diploma

Industrial Engineering / Master in logistics or equivalent degree

Former professional experience

  • 5 to 10 years in SC management (plant and global)

  • Planning and supply knowledge in SAP

  • Continuous Improvement skills and certifications

  • Project Management are a plus
