BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Global Planner Raw Material in Le Pont, France

Job Description Summary

The global plannner for raw material will be responsible for the consolidation of all plants requirements at global level on a selected number of critical items and the elaboration of raw material allocation plans between each plants to prevent any industrial disruptions in the BDM-PS industrial network.

Job Description

In a supply constrained environment the Global Planer raw material will have the following responsibilities :

  • Provide an increased level of support to local plant raw material inventory planners on a selected list of items identified at risk.

  • Analyze and consolidate SAP purchase requisitions from all plants at global level on Master Production Schedule horizon.

  • Assess potential gaps between BDM-PS global short term needs versus supplier ability to deliver.

  • Build raw material allocation plans between each plants to prevent any industrial disruptions in the BDM-PS industrial network.

  • Harmonize raw material inventory strategy on critical items for all plants in case of constrained supply situation to balance at best plants inventory position.

  • Monitor supplier delivery performance and ability to meet delivery plan commitments preventing line stoppage in the BD Plant network.

  • Coordinate communication and collaboration with various internal and external business partners such as BD procurement, BD outsource operations, BD local plant planning and key BD suppliers.

Other activities in addition to the primary mission :

  • Identify key enablers required to improve BD ability to increase supplier forecast accuracy and communication frequency

  • Take the lead on a cross functional task force with the aim to reach a monthly forecast communication with 80% forecast accuracy for selected critical suppliers.


  • Degree in supply chain, inventory replenishment or supply / production planning.

  • At least 3 years in a related Supply Chain or Operations role, with experience in logistics

  • Excellent analytical skills, with a proven ability to problem solve and make quick decisions

  • Experience working closely with third parties and colleagues in remote locations to deliver business objectives

  • Strong operational experience in a dynamic multinational organization,

  • Excellent communication/interpersonal skills, both verbal and written

  • Proven ability to execute and deliver on commitments

  • Be capable of working effectively in a cross functional and virtual environment

  • Sense of customer service
