Job Description Summary

Support with the CI Pharmaceutical System leader, the Becton Dickinson Production System Master-plan activities (fact-based and focus on priorities with a 0 loss mindset) for the cluster PS (SQDC vision and target).

Support Pharmaceutical System end to end BD Production System renewal implementation to obtain and sustain the expected savings.

Develop the organization as problem solvers (improvement / routine), by training / coaching / communicating and leading by example.

Living the BD values and embed a new and standardized way if working (change management).

Job Description

P lan

  • Support the definition of the priorities/targets in a 0 loss mindset (Y-Chart) and the master-plan associated.

  • Ensure a Continuous Improvement-preventive mind-set / Inspire the culture.

D o

  • Develop-implement and sustain Continuous Improvement training / skills.

  • Lead and/or support workgroup’s activities safely (“safety first”), corrective-preventive actions on the shop-floor.

  • Implement/sustain the results, with the operations, through Lean Daily Management System and ensure engagement (5W’s, teams, KAS)

  • Coordinate / align a common governance model (One Umbrella).

  • Update the plant Steering Committees and his manager on progress / return on investment On Time In Full.

  • Measure the Continuous Improvement maturity (plant / teams).

  • Ensure CI corrective / preventive actions regarding the master-plan.

  • Contribute the CI standardization/harmonization.

  • Promote BDPS events (communication, recognition…).

  • Work closely with BDPS community and copy / paste good practices and expand horizontally.

  • Executes responsibilities with a large degree of autonomy requiring minimal day-to-day oversight by immediate supervisor.

  • Contribute for building an efficient network and with all leaders at plant and PS levels.

  • Ensure an accurate reporting to his manager.

  • The CI support manager contributes to the BDPS culture deployment, successful planning of projects ensuring improvements in SQDC throughout a forward-looking 3 years pipeline

  • Performance assessed through projects On Time In Full and BDPS maturity.

  • Financial Impact :

  • Responsible for the overall management of a 3 years portfolio of CI projects / activities that have a high level impact on plant results (Cost to win).

Required skills and knowledge:

Minimum experience :

  • Position requires 5-7 years of successful manufacturing experience

  • Certified Lean Leader or Certified Lean practitioner is essential.

  • Trained Green Belt desired

  • Demonstrate a passion for safety, customer centricity and operational excellence.

  • Demonstrated success in working with teams to solve problems, facilitating meetings, and presenting results

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully lead multiple projects

  • Business acumen and ability to display the linkage between projects and desired business results.
