Job Description Summary

Position Title: Service Integrations Engineer

Purpose of Role

• The Service Integrations team plans, implements and manages the ServiceNow SaaS solution for Global Shared Services and the BD Enterprise and drives adoption of its capabilities through service transformation and automation. Responsibilities include architecting, building, and maintaining BD’s ServiceNow environment, implementing new capabilities and converging disparate systems and processes.

• This position is primarily responsible for participation in global projects to design new service solutions from collected requirements from stakeholders and implement new functionality to meet BD’s needs.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform day to day administration of BD’s ServiceNow implementation, including developing and implementing new processes and work flow update sets as well as making approved changes to existing processes and work flows.

  • Work with service integration partner groups to develop processes and work flows for incorporation into ServiceNow.

  • Maintain the integrity of BD’s ServiceNow deployment across all instances, coordinate all maintenance and upgrades with ServiceNow.

  • Develop clear and concise technical, process and program road map documentation.

  • Evaluate opportunities for Service Automation and continuous service improvement.

  • Communicate ServiceNow process, operations and capability information effectively across the enterprise.

  • Establish system monitoring using a variety of tools and automated incident creation and routing.

  • Establish operational reporting and targeted delivery of KPI driven dashboards to senior level staff.


  • BA/BS in computer science or related field or equivalent experience.

  • A minimum of 4 years of experience with strong system administration focus.

  • Previous experience with SaaS or on-premise ITSM solutions like ServiceNow, HP Quality Center, RemedyForce, BMC, etc.

  • Experience with Agile software development

  • Experience with ServiceNow preferred. Service Portal preferred.

  • Previous experience with Workflow design and automation

  • Experience in any of the technologies on this list:

  • Bi-directional automated systems integration

  • Working knowledge of the components in a web applications stack

  • Solid debugging, testing and problem solving skills in Cloud environment

  • Ability to translate process requirements into articulate technical designs for tool implementation

  • Works well independently as well as on collaborative teams.

  • Proven track record of successful customer commitment in a service delivery organization.

  • Strong written and interpersonal communication skills, plus willingness to document.

  • Ability to work and adapt in a dynamic environment and identify issues, prioritize work and escalate accordingly

  • Fluent spoken and written English language skills

  • Willingness to travel
