Summary

Business Development is responsible for driving sales and services to new and existing customers Responsible for maximizing customer value/satisfaction by aligning complex product solutions & services with key customer initiatives. Builds and maintains relationship with key decision makers or potential influencers. Involves a longer sales cycle with the largest and most prestigious clients/Integrated Delivery Networks (IDN’s).

Expectations of you and others at this level in Direct Sales for functional success:

  • Applies knowledge of the client’s/IDN’s business to develop optimal solutions

  • Proactively, and with a regular cadence, demonstrates to the client the defined value of partnering with CareFusion both pre- and post-sales

  • Effectively negotiates and collaborates with clients and colleagues to influence support for mutually beneficial outcomes and achieve consensus

  • Builds and sustains relationships founded on trust with internal and external customers to ensure client satisfaction and loyalty

  • Identifies and qualifies new sales opportunities and develops plans for introducing new solutions through collaborative relationships, both internal and external

Qualifications:

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree required, graduate degree preferred

  • Min 10 years progressively responsible sales management experience

  • Demonstrated ability to successfully communicate and influence clients through deep understanding of both the ROI and workflow improvements created by the Pyxis Perioperative set of solutions

  • Strong presentation skills

  • Executive relationships

  • Ability to travel 50% of time

  • Proven product knowledge in business area

  • Valid driver's license

Preferred:

  • Experience with complex sale with multiple call points (Nursing, IT, Finance & Supply Chain)

  • Experience with matrix management

  • HIT experience

  • Capital Sales experience

  • Consultative sales with experience developing and executing complex technology roadmaps

  • Experience managing a territory and Quota of $10M or greater

  • Possess an intimate knowledge of the Pyxis Perioperative suite of products and services
