Job Description Summary
Summary of Position with General Responsibilities:
The Endovascular Fistula Specialist (EFS) will work directly with qualified doctors who have completed the training process through the certification process. This individual will assist doctors in patient screening, case planning, and device selection; troubleshooting problem cases; providing technical support during clinical cases. Alignment at the district-level will allow the EFS to focus on the granular elements of program building, looking to influence nephrology education, improve patient-screening workflows, and orchestrate comprehensive patient mapping to dialysis centers for effective cannulation technique and patient education. Additionally, the EFS will be involved in activities supporting clinical studies and product evaluations, product in-servicing, case coverage, troubleshooting, and fulfill all administrative duties in a timely manner.
Essential Job Functions:
Typically aligned to 1 District within a region, reporting to the District Manager with dotted alignment to the Regional Manager.
Own the on-boarding process (getting MD from training to certification)
Conduct front-end vessel mapping/patient selection education (with local CS/TM)
Active proctoring of the first 3 (minimum) cases to provide FDA-mandated certification (local Level 2 TM/CS will co-proctor)
Conduct back-end cannulation training to primary Access Coordinators and Dialysis Personnel (with local CS/TM)
Coordination of account case support with field (Level 2 Reps) and front-end/back-end coordination and assist in getting local TM and CS personnel certified to proctor cases and fulfill the local needs of the territory
Provide MD training support (cadaver wiring, cadaver access, training station training) in Houston and at remote courses
Provide continuing training/education to sales team within Region, at Boot Camps, and Clinical Principles courses
Coordinate forecasting and case registry reporting weekly
Must maintain current HCP registry and/or licensure
Must have a combination of 4+ years of lab, dialysis center, and/or clinical field experience
Must possess and maintain a valid state-issued driver's license and meet BD's auto safety standards
Must have good verbal and written communication skills.
Must have good presentation skills; ability to present material comfortably.
Must have strong time and territory management skills
If Internal, must be recommended by your District, Regional Managers and approved by Director of Sales.
