As part of the internal Creative Services team, the Video Producer plans and coordinates studio and field-based video production work from concept through completion, including the planning, filming, editing, sound mixing, graphic design and compression output and distribution of a wide range of products, and performs other related duties as required. The successful person in this position should have a strong desire for storytelling, have a contagious work ethic with a focused attention to detail, and strive to produce the work at the highest quality standards that incorporate video and editing knowledge and trends. This position requires experience translating and conceptualizing concepts into effective videos for digital marketing and online campaigns.

The video producer is creative and innovative, and will work with various stakeholders to create compelling storylines that complement existing content.

This role is responsible for overseeing the preproduction, production and postproduction of original videos based on business and marketing strategy for on-time and on-budget delivery to meet client expectations. The video producer is the key point of contact in video creation as well as the main client liaison, and controls budget oversight for the project.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Create and develop multimedia (audio/video) content for customer stories, internal brand videos, external promotional videos, product marketing videos, recruiting videos, and other enterprise-wide projects

  • Oversee development of script, storyboard, budget, allocation of resources, and selection of optimal forms of media for projects

  • Work with account representatives on client discovery, proactively research, oversee development of scripts and treatments for interviews, and create long-form, short-form, marketing and other corporate videos

  • Oversee studio and field production

  • In conjunction with account representative, interface with client and client staff; work closely with team to ensure their needs are met and offer creative solutions for each project

  • Interview subjects on- or off-camera; provide guidance to non-actor talent to achieve strong on-camera performances

  • Oversee edit/graphic sessions. Manage project budgets, resources and schedules

  • Manage multiple video projects simultaneously and ensure timely completion of deliverables

  • Lead camera crews on production days and direct professional and non-professional talent

  • Engage in professional development to continuously grow professionally and remain competitive with outside services

Skills and Knowledge Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in broadcast production, film, communication or a related field

  • Minimum of five years of video production experience with a minimum of two years of client management responsibility

  • Portfolio required

  • Strong command of modern digital video production, equipment and processes, including experience with multiple video formats

  • Excellent eye for aesthetics with an advanced understanding of composition, lighting and color theory

  • Natural understanding of storytelling

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills including script writing

  • Initiative, energy and enthusiasm

  • Flexibility; must work well in teams and be comfortable both giving direction and receiving it from others

  • Outstanding customer service orientation including professional presence and superior client relationship skills

  • Proven ability to work effectively with senior management and production colleagues in a corporate environment

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Detail-oriented with good observational skills

  • Time management and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to anticipate problems and take corrective action

  • Working knowledge of video editing and operation of equipment
