BD (Becton, Dickinson and Company) Supply Chain Account Executive - East Coast Territory in Franklin Lakes, New Jersey

Job Description SummaryThe Supply Chain Account Executive will be responsible for collaboration between Customer purchasing IV Fluids platform offerings, BD Sales Teams, IV Business partners, and BD Supply Chain in a shared effort to enhance the Customer experience and strive for Operational Excellence. Additionally, they will work to drive Cost-Out-of-Supply-Chain, and to improve clinical, economic and operational outcomes.

SCAE will provide critical support to the purchasing accounts as the Customer-Facing One Point-of-Contact for BD Supply Chain for the purchasing base.

SCAE will help differentiate BD and drive growth by actively supporting the IDN’s strategic supply chain priorities, accelerating their supply chain maturity, and embedding BD as a trusted strategic partner. They will ensure optimum order to cash cycles as key organizer for the delivery of goods to the end location.

Job Description


  • Responsible for understanding and supporting Operational Supply Chain performance and continuous improvement .

  • Acts as Customer Facing IV Fluids platform one-Point-of-Contact for all operational supply needs and functions, seeking to evolve Customer interactions from ‘responding to supply issues’, to ‘proactively anticipating and avoiding potential supply issues’.

  • Seeks to create Customer Supply Chain relationships, built on Operational successes, that develop into strategic partnerships for key Supply Chain Solutions initiatives and business growth.

  • Will analyze IDN-BD Supply Chain structure and function and will identify opportunities to drive strategic Supply Chain Solutions initiatives with BD SCVP Sales Teams and IDN senior leaders.

  • Subject Matter Expert for industry standards including but not limited to: UDI, GSDN.

  • Ability to drive implementation of standards and help model the solution value offer.

  • Coach and mentor other Supply Chain associates on solution.

  • Works with SCVP Team to position Supply Chain Solutions initiatives within BDX Value Proposition and Shared Business Plans.

  • Coordinates SC Solutions implementations, and measures & leverages CI gains achieved.

  • Lead process for operations for IDN Direct sell and implementation roll out on the supply chain side of the process.

  • Elevates Sales Team understanding of BD Supply Chain and its role in strategic Customer relations and growth.

  • Finds opportunities to build sales team understanding of supply chain operations, support processes, capabilities, competitive advantages, and strategic value.

  • Grows sales team knowledge, relationships, and trust with BD Supply Chain to encourage deeper collaboration between Sales Teams, Supply Chain, and our Customers.

  • Supports internal Supply Chain stakeholders by providing Voice of Customer to all relevant Supply Chain functions.

  • Provides Customer requirements, feedback, observations and insights to help anticipate challenges of patients and customers, and to inform BD as we seek to Innovate and Continuously Improve Supply Chain.

  • Medical device industry as a plus

  • IV Fluids knowledge a plus

  • Strong knowledge of UDI use and implementation

  • Bachelor's Degree, preferably with concentration in Business or Supply Chain Management / Logistics.

  • MBA preferred

  • 5+ years experience in Supply Chain Operations

  • Ability to travel up to 25%

  • Excellent communication skills
