Job Description SummaryThe Sr. Manager, Commercial Enablement will be responsible for the overall development and execution of a portion of the US Region’s technology roadmap, with a specific focus on Configure-Price-Quote (CPQ) and Contract Lifecycle Management technologies, and the integration with existing CRM systems (Salesforce.com, Veeva CRM). This individual will be accountable and responsible for the implementation, adoption, administration, and ongoing development of US Region Customer Facing Contracting technologies, in partnership with other teams in US Commercial Operations and business stakeholders.

Part of the US Region Commercial Operations organization, this role will directly report in to the Associate Director, Commercial Enablement, with a dotted line reporting relationship to the Senior Director, Commercial Contracting. This position will support the US Region’s Commercial Contracting & Commercial Enablement Team through BD & BARD integration effort and is expected to last for an estimated 2 years.

Impact

This position will drive commercial effectiveness and enablement amongst the U.S. Region by enabling our sales organizations to accelerate our overall contracting cycle times and improving sales agility. This individual will serve in a key leadership role in driving organizational change through tools, technology and data for our contracting and sales organizations. This role will also accelerate the overall lead-to-cash cycle across the US Region, partnering with both marketing and commercial effectiveness organizations to continually improve processes

Responsibilities

This role is directly responsible for:

1) Design, implementation and execution of an overall Contracting/CLM Technology & CPQ roadmap for US Region BU’s

2) System administration and ongoing maintenance of CPQ, CLM & CRM platforms

3) User adoption of Contracting Technologies, CRM & CPQ tools, in partnership with Sales leadership & US Sales Effectiveness leadership

Qualifications -

Knowledge:

  • Sales and Marketing automation

  • Enterprise Contract Management: inclusive of Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tools, e-signature technology (i.e. Docusign, Adobe eSign) & CPQ technologies (i.e. BigMachines, Apptus, Conga)

  • Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools & technologies (i.e. Salesforce.com, NetSuite, SAP CRM, Veeva CRM)

  • System/Infrastructure & Relational data understanding (i.e. SAP, Qlikview)

  • Data Integration/System Integration

Skills:

  • Ability to drive organizational by influencing others without authority

  • Ability to interact with “business”-side stakeholders as well as “technical” stakeholders (IT)

  • Ability to develop and execute a long-term portfolio of projects

  • Team & individual leadership/coaching.

Education and Experience:

  • 7-10 overall years of experience in commercial/sales roles

  • 2-5 years contracting/technology experience

  • Best-in-Class CRM expertise (i.e. Salesforce, MS Dynamics, etc.)

  • Best-in-Class CPQ expertise (i.e. BigMachines, Apptus, etc.)

  • System Integration and Data Management expertise

  • Healthcare industry experience preferred

  • B.A. or B.S. degree required; M.B.A. preferred
