Job Description SummaryGENERAL FUNCTION
As part of BD Medication Delivery Solutions (MDS) Business Unit, this marketing role is defined within the Worldwide Hypodermic platform of Needles & Syringes – as part of the WW Injection Systems sub-BU. This key marketing role is accountable for supporting the growth of the Global Hypodermic business including key projects related to supporting development & execution of line extensions & new products, market expansion, Change-To-Win programs and Sustaining Engineering efforts related to the portfolio. This role will work closely with cross-functional and regional team members to drive commercial success & achieve business objectives.
Support development and execution of global product portfolio strategy and annual strategic plan. Develop & execute key initiatives working with regional marketing counterparts and cross-functional teams to meet business objectives that include maximizing sales & profitability while driving sustainable business growth
Develop a depth of hypodermic product knowledge and expertise including competitive intelligence and market and clinical use understanding
Marketing & product management activities include market assessment, segmentation, competitive analysis & differentiation, portfolio management, development of product positioning and marketing collateral and communications
Provide commercial leadership on new product, line extensions, and product enhancement projects associated with sustaining engineering, change-to-win, new product planning/execution, product lifecycle management, and post-market surveillance
Provide strategic & analytical thinking by translating data and information into insights and identifying & evaluating business opportunities, customer needs, and developing business cases. This includes performing in-depth market research and financial analysis

Knowledge and Experience:
Demonstration of strong marketing competencies, product management, strategic, and leadership skills with a consistent track-record of high performance and results
Proven success in leading & executing initiatives with teams that drive significant business impact and growth is required
Strong project management and demonstration of efficient resource management. Resourcefulness and the ability to successfully manage multiple priorities is important
Demonstrated analytical strength in financial analysis, forecasting, scenario analysis and ROI modeling. Previous P&L responsibility is a plus
Clear action orientation manifested by working in a fast-pace environment with minimal supervision
Excellent communicator with highly effective interpersonal & influencing skills and cultural savviness.
Must work effectively across organizational & international boundaries within a matrixed environment and with customers; excellent team leader and team player
Strong customer-centricity, experience in the field with sales force and customers, and a bias towards customer responsiveness
Job Specific Requirements:
Bachelors’ degree in a life science or technical discipline. MBA preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of marketing experience and minimum of 5 years of healthcare industry experience required. Medical device industry and consumable product experience is preferred. Prior global experience will be preferred.
Ability to travel in the USA & internationally 15% of the time
