Job Description SummaryReporting to VP Data Science & Digitalization the Director Data/Process Science & Digitalization (DBPE) is responsible for developing and deploying the strategy for data science, process mining and digitalization.
The incumbent will be responsible for deploying the capabilities and core competencies in Analytics, , Predictive Modeling, Business Process and Digitalization across Integrated Supply Chain. This includes advanced and strategic analytics capabilities development and deployment at a global, business, functional, and regional level.
Role is responsible for accelerating capabilities development in the organization and centralizing integrated supply chain processes in order to leverage across their scale, standardizing approached and utilizing best practice sharing.
This role is responsible for orchestrating NOE (Network of Excellence) organizing model for integrated supply chain by aligning with the current context and future objectives of the business, by framing the scope and scale of the NOE across functions, processes or capabilities. This role will co-lead the network of Business Process Experts, Subject Matter Experts and domain relevant regional, functional and business experts.
The major functions performed by the DBPE is accomplished through a “matrix” environment which requires working very closely with all Business Units, functions and geographic Regions. The DBPE must bring innovative approaches to the building of the integrated supply chain data infrastructure required in ISC functions, businesses, and regions while always maintaining a very customer centric approach.
The DBPE is responsible for developing and maintaining the relationships with key stakeholders internally within Global Procurement, Global Operations, Global Supply Chain, and other functions within Integrated Supply Chain as well as partnering with other functions, businesses, and regions outside of ISC. Consequently, the role enables executive process oversight for the “Plan, Source, Make, Deliver” business process areas. This aids with aligning, integrating, prioritizing of initiatives, and governing among the priorities set by the business, regions and functions.
Additionally, the DBPE ensures alignment of its initiatives with the key functional and corporate strategies through best practice sharing, performance measurement, and talent management of the role’s organization. Last but not the least, the DBPE is responsible for attracting, developing, and improving the talent within the Performance and Data Science organization, and deploying and leveraging continuous improvement methodologies.
The DBPE reports directly to the VP Analytics & Data Science along with strong functional alignment to the ISC leadership teams.
The role works closely with the Regions, Business Leadership, Operations, and other relevant stakeholders to assess, develop and lead the implementation of the analytics and data management initiatives to support the ISC’s overall strategy. As such, the DBPE develops a vision that actively contributes to the broader success of the ISC organization. Key spheres of influence and engagement include the Global Supply Chain, Operations, Procurement, IT/Shared Service VPs, Regulatory & Quality Leadership teams.
The DBPE is globally responsible and accountable for the efficient delivery of data science, and process capabilities. The role is directly responsible for the PDS strategic planning and it’s executional performance as well as the associated operating model. The DBPE will be a strategic partner to all departments within the ISC, placing customers at the core of our decision making, and ensuring that customer-centric, data-driven decision making is used throughout the function, business and region. The DBPE will use big data platforms, data warehousing, business intelligence technology, data science, machine learning, and self-service visualization analytics to drive these insights with strong partnership with the IT Shared Service Functions.
