Job Description SummaryThe Quality Lead is responsible for maintaining all Quarantine, Hold, Expired, Return Goods and Recalled product. This includes the control and maintenance of the same inventory. Must communicate regularly with the Quality Manager, research and create detailed reports. Report expired product on a monthly basis, and maintain disposition of all Quarantine and Hold product on a timely basis. Ensure oversight of the Returns and Damage processing areas and Auditors.

Job Description

Essential Functions

Administrative

Must utilize all office equipment, fax, copier, printers and computers. Create, and finalize all paperwork and reports associated with QA Holds, Recall, Returned Goods, Damage, and Expired product. Oversight of Returns Processors, Damage Processors and Auditors.

Customer Satisfaction

Maintain accurate reports for the customer and internal management. Answer questions and report information that is needed or requested from the customer. Monitor service failures and recommend corrective action.

Quality

Responsible for making recommendations to the management team regarding continuous improvement of department work processes and operating procedures. Participate in High Performance Work Teams. Provide direction and coordination to warehouse team relative to specific quality focus areas – Damage Processors, Returns Processors, Auditors. Actively participate in quality programs and quality project teams. Assist Quality Manager in preparing procedures, work instructions, shipping papers and any other duties assigned to meet requirements.

Reporting/Performance Measurements

Ensure all warehouse activity records are prepared in a timely manner and effectively maintained. Review operating goals and standards on a daily basis to monitor achievement. Responsible for Certificates of destruction, scrap request to the customer, scrap disposition through the system, recall data entry and documentation. Understand, track, and trend Quality and Inventory department Key Performance Indicators.

Hazardous Waste Processing

Pending staffing needs the teammate may be provided RCRA training for the processing of hazardous waste. This includes identification of the hazardous waste, proper labeling, knowledge of the locations of the hazardous and satellite accumulation waste areas, processing of shipping papers, inspection of hazardous and satellite accumulation areas and following all regulations regarding the disposal of hazardous waste.

Cross Training

Become knowledgeable with the responsibilities of the other positions within the department. Assist as required and act as backup at times of absence or vacation. This requires being cross trained in additional functions of the department and may require training to operate equipment. Open to training and leading in Rebox, Returns, Damages, Holds, and Inventory. Be willing to cross train to inventory and audits.

Housekeeping

Lean manufacturing processes including 5S must be followed at all times. This includes keeping the office and warehouse clean, neat, and orderly at all times. Recognize our customer and GENCO’s commitment to pride and quality work. Follow guidelines as outlined, to ensure the cleanliness of the facility.

Safety and Sanitation

Assist in maintaining the security of the warehouse. Conduct operations in a manner that promotes safety. All injuries and accidents MUST be reported immediately to a Supervisor or Manager.

Miscellaneous/Other

All Teammates are responsible for full participation in the daily stretching program. Participate in physical inventories. Perform other miscellaneous duties as required. Qualifications

Required

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Manual dexterity Good judgment

  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. frequently

  • Ability to operate and/or drive all required equipment

  • Ability to bend, reach, stoop, lift and stand on a regular basis

  • Excellent PC Skills (Microsoft Office)

  • Demonstrated ability to read, speak, and understand English in order to maintain required records

  • Excellent Communication Skills

  • Ability to fully participate in daily stretching program

Preferred

  • Experience in warehouse logistics

  • Experience in quality

  • Leadership experience

  • Experience with SAP, Trackwise, RF Guns for inventory management

  • Experience in FDA regulated industry

  • Some college preferred, however, equivalent experience accepted
