Job Description Summary
As regional Repair Center Leader, you will coordinate the work of our in-house technicians, warehouse operators and administrative associate in the European Instrument Service Center (EISC). The focus of the activities is the repair and reconditioning of medical instruments and parts, as well as the associated logistic operations. You will ensure that the EISC associates excel in their job execution by actively planning, supervising the quality of the work performed – while keeping an eye on safety in the workplace – and ensuring adequate training is timely completed and elaborated upon. Frequent contacts with our (internal) suppliers and customers will enable you to provide an excellent customer experience.
You will represent the EISC in larger initiatives within BD and will cooperate with your international colleagues in the global repair centers in US and AsiaPac to exchange information and stay abreast of any recent changes in repair procedures. You will be able to suggest continuous improvements based on the regional experience gathered from the work performed.
You will be responsible for enhancing the team’s performance and cohesion towards sustained excellence. You will explore opportunities to enable future repair capabilities in the Region. You will report to the Senior Manager Product Technical Support.
Ideally you will have a bachelor or higher degree in Engineering, with at least 5 years practical knowledge within manufacturing industry and/or handling logistical operations. Prior knowledge with medical device instrumentation or within a technical service department is a plus.
