As European Technical Support Center Specialist, you will join a team of 5 and will be at the spearhead of technical support with BD, global leader in Medical Technology. Your role will be instrumental to ensure client satisfaction.

Job Description

As a European Technical Support Center Specialist, you’ll join a dynamic team responsible for a high-quality level of technical support and representation for BD Diagnostic Systems products in the field of Molecular Diagnostics, Cervical Cancer detection and Microbiology . You will be the point of contact for the customers (focusing on Wallonia, France and Spain) to provide technical, software and product support . If a solution can’t be found or a complaint can’t be solved remotely, you will route the problem to the regional field-based organization, who will visit the client on-site.

The role also involves:

  • Interacting directly with the regional Dispatchers, Field service Engineers, Application Specialists, Sales Representatives or Distributors, to ensure detailed information on the customer’s interaction is available for quick and efficient problem management.

  • Using remote diagnostic tools , to remedy problems and perform root cause analysis.

  • Tracking, recording and documenting all technical enquiries from customers and prospective customers into the BD systems.

About you

To deliver the performance that we are looking for, we need a professional educated to BA/MA level in a relevant faculty or with equivalent experience working in a hospital or laboratory environment as a Field Service Engineer, Biomedical Engineer or Remote System Engineer. Ideally, you have been using remote support tools, such as VPN and remote desktop. Having a background in Biology, Life Sciences or Microbiology would be a strong asset.

A strong communicator, you have a strong commitment to customer service and satisfaction as well as excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. You are eager to stay current in technical knowledge in order to be able to troubleshoot and provide information back to customers in a helpful, courteous, positive and professional manner. You are diligent, process-oriented and well-organized and have basic knowledge on Computer networking, Windows OS, Unix or Linux and TCP/IP.

To support our clients, you are fluent in written and spoken French, Spanish and English (level C1 or C2). Knowledge of another European language would be a plus to ensure rotation in the team.
