Reporting to the Business Process Leader, the Business Process Support Analyst is responsible for identifying and improving business process practices and for supporting key logistics roles in the supply chain at BD Dun Laoghaire.

The role encompasses business practices from incoming materials to outgoing products, as well as providing configuration, functional and operational support for business systems at Dun Laoghaire.

The role of the Business Process Support Analyst role encompasses business practices from incoming materials to outgoing products, as well as providing configuration, functional and operational support for business systems at Dun Laoghaire. This position is to support activities, to improve process efficiency and assist in maximizing the use and value of SAP – all SAP process areas. With the Business Process team, you will help to identify opportunities for process improvements across functions and provide regular support and training to users as required. Notably on SAP, Lean Materials and MES Data Collection systems. You will provide Functional & Operational support for any business system Projects and Upgrades as they are implemented at BD Dun Laoghaire.

This person is to support new product set-up with emphasis on systems Master data. Part of this position is to assist with regular process mapping activities. You will carry out operational activities on a daily, weekly, monthly and annual basis: - review and close out production orders, regularly report to stakeholders, provide systems input and data to aid ongoing CI projects, assist with WIP cycle counts, the annual inventory stock take, SAP re-certification and year-end production cut off procedures. This person also acts as a support and back up to key logistics roles. You will have an understanding of and be keen to learn and develop your skills in Big Data/Cloud/Data Lake/QLIK:

Two projects that are planned for this person are:

  • SharePoint - develop skills to create SharePoint sites and develop workflows as per business requirements

  • Become a Super-User providing automated solutions to improve the efficiency of daily tasks: using Excel, SharePoint, Big Data.

It is imperative that you will Adopt and share best practices of the Office365 suite of tools from the desktop (Excel, Power BI) to the Web (SharePoint, Microsoft Teams, Dynamics and OneDrive) and other new IT platforms as they are introduced. There is 3 in total in the team reporting to the Biz Process Leader. This role has become available due to promotion

The successful candidate will have 3 years relevant experience, ideally in manufacturing and lean material. You will have a third level qualification ideally business systems analysis or business and IT systems. You will have a thorough knowledge of ERP systems (ideally SAP ECC6). The ideal candidate will have excellent documentation skills and attention to detail. You will be able to work on your own initiative and follow through. You will be an excellent communicator who can interact with all levels of colleagues and bring cross team working to its fullest potential. You will be proactive – with the ability and confidence to identify opportunities in the business for improvement and then follow up with a plan. This person must be an MS Office expert. Ideally, the BP Analyst is the sort of person that naturally converts new learnings into best practices for BD colleagues.
