Molding Intern

As part of the Manufacturing Engineering team, the Intern Molding/Plastics Engineer will support Production by:

  • Providing daily technical support in a fast paced, high volume molding environment involving close tolerance parts

  • Troubleshooting plastics processes and performing root cause analyses

  • Preparing experimental plans, executing tests or trials, and presenting data and results to other team members and management

  • Creating or updating standard operating procedures

  • Supporting the product development process by assisting the program teams to ensure successful new product launches

  • Working collaboratively with Engineering, Tool Shop, Production and other functional area team members to complete various improvement projects

Qualifications :

  • Students who are pursuing a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Plastics preferred) or Bachelor of Science in Engineering Technology

  • Minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA on a 4.0 scale

  • Hands-on experience operating injection molding machines and establishing optimal plastics processes

  • Good general understanding of polymeric materials, injection mold tooling, and plastic part design

  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
