Vascular Access Devices, a sub-business unit of Medication Delivery Solutions, focuses on developing, manufacturing, and distributing high-quality medical devices used by clinicians throughout the worldwide healthcare industry to access a patient’s vasculature. Our devices assist in the delivery of chemotherapy, blood products, antibiotics, and nutrition.

To support Bard sales objectives through targeted customer interaction, including training, product ordering, and general sales support. This positions primary product focus will be Bard Access Systems Peripheral Vascular Access Products including Accucath and PowerGlide. The position will span across multiple territories however be part of the North Carolina District.

  • Protect and grow Bard Access Peripheral Vascular Access device portfolio. Primary emphasis on Accucath and PowerGlide product categories.

  • Provide customers product information and training.

  • Informs customers of new and current pricing, backorders, and company policies.

  • Effects comprehensive in-service of peripheral access products to all concerned individuals.

  • Works closely with TM and DM on planning and prioritization of sales calls, managing time effectively.

  • Develops thorough knowledge of all peripheral access products.

  • Works closely with and communicates daily with both Territory Manager and District Manager within assigned geography.

  • Informs Territory and District Manager of significant changes in customer accounts.

  • Reports customer complaints in accordance with BAS complaint procedure.

  • Complete all administrative duties associated with position in a timely fashion.

  • Cultivating new and existing customers to establish long-term mutually beneficial relationships.

  • Work a flexible work schedule and travel to meet the needs of BAS customers.

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Management or related area.

  • Zero to two (0-2) years of outside sales experience or equivalency.

  • Ability to travel within assigned District and to BAS sales meetings, industry conferences, tradeshows as needed.

  • Demonstrated human relation and communication skills.

  • Willingness to relocate for available Territory Manager positions.

The incumbent must demonstrate the potential ability to perform the essential functions of the job as outlined in the duties and responsibilities.

  • Product knowledge of all features and benefits of Bard peripheral access products.

  • Strong persuasion and influencing skills.

  • Good judgment and professional behavior.

  • General medical procedure knowledge, adequate to illustrate our peripheral access product benefits.

  • Basic knowledge of anatomy, medical and surgical terminology.

  • Basic understanding of SPIN selling techniques.

  • Excellent listening and communication skills.

  • Understands contract administration.

  • Ability to effectively build and sustain professional relationships with hospital, other sales and home office personnel.

This position is in an office environment and requires the incumbent to sit, stand and perform general office functions. The incumbent may also be required to lift up to twenty five pounds occasionally. The incumbent may be required to stand for extended periods of time. Bending, stooping and reaching are also frequently required.
