Job Description SummaryResponsible for the operation of a high flow assembly line, to include the following processes: Tube descrambling, spray coat additive dispense, stopper placement, tumble and lube stoppers and evacuation and label application. Producing products with acceptable quality while minimizing waste and meeting standard throughput rates. All operators are expected to assist with the operation of all other equipment on the line to meet throughput and quality expectations.
The essential functions of this position include but are not limited to:Spray coat Additive Dispense
Removes any damaged trays prior to entering the spray coater.
Check trays to ensure all holes are full and tubes are open side up.
Follows the latest procedures for sanitizing spray coat equipment.
Assembles the liquid manifolds, hose, carboys and pumps.
Loads Servo programs.
Operates all machine controls.
Loads and retrieves samples to determine amount of additive.
Weighs dispensed additive amounts using latest approved methods.
Makes zero pump setting adjustments.
Calculates the pump setting based on pre-weight measurements.
Adjusts pumps fill weights.
Observes spray pattern for location and uniformity.
Identifies any product improperly processed and removes.
Monitors machine malfunctions, corrects problems and clears jams.
Maintains spray coater to prevent any damaged parts.
Checks out additive as required.
Lubricates stopper and prints stopper tickets per BD quality specifications as assigned.

Replaces tubes in the automated tube replacement device
Replaces empty label rolls and threads full rolls into labeler. Assists in timing label head.
Clears all jams in Tullip equipment.
Operates and monitors tray unloader, tube transfers, tube labeler, 100 unit packaging equipment. Clears all jams and maintains proper adjustment on equipment listed.
Monitors output conveyor for proper fill of 100 unit packages
Loads EPS tray magazines.
Responsible for maintaining tools. Initial tools and lockouts will be provided. If lost, the employee pays for replacements. May be required to work shutdown when equipment is rebuilt. Makes adjustments until such time that all machines are operating at rated capacity and required quality levels. Requisitions needed parts from Parts Crib to complete set ups or adjustments of equipment. Informs and assists support staff and Facilitators of necessary repairs or maintenance need on equipment.. Not authorized to complete electrical repair work unless documented formal education is provided. Reports all safety hazards to supervision and maintains all equipment and work areas within established safety standards. Performs preventative maintenance as required per schedule.
Initiates work orders to be submitted to supervision as related to safety improvements needed.
Follows Lock Out/Tag Out procedures and other systems/procedures as appropriate
