Training Coordinator - Birmingham, Alabama


The Training Coordinator role, in conjunction with the Platform Leader, will develop the strategic MedMined training plan for both internal and external customers. This position will ensure development and execution of robust and specific training plans for customer on-boarding, customer optimization, internal employee on-boarding, internal employee training, and MedMined metrics of education success. This position will help ensure that the internal customer support organization is equipped and enabled to effectively and efficiently deliver educational content to internal and external stakeholders and are able to apply adult learning principles to training techniques.

You will be responsible for driving excellence and standardization across the MedMined customer-facing organization. The role is responsible for analyzing the effectiveness of existing content and programs, determining necessary adjustments to materials and delivery mechanisms, and driving necessary changes to ensure the optimal customer experience with MedMined products and services. This role will also assist with planning and executing Best Practice Meetings, MedMined University and identifying new ways to effectively and efficiently deliver training.

The role will develop new training material and programs as dictated by the changing needs of the business and in partnership with the Platform Leader. In conjunction with the Platform Leader, this role will oversee the scheduling of training programs and evaluate delivery methods (classroom, eLearning).

This position will have responsibility for establishing appropriate metrics to measure customer and internal education success. Those measures will be utilized as internal and external benchmarks and will directly impact the evolution of the MedMined education plan for 2019 and beyond.

Incumbent in this role is the ability to lead from a position of authority and influence. This role requires strategic vision, significant experience in principles of adult education, collaboration, intellectual agility, adaptability, and significant ability to execute strategic plans. This role will involve assuming responsibility for off-site meetings, conferences, and events.


  • Foundational knowledge/experience with methods and principles for adult learning and instructional systems design for both groups and individuals

  • Demonstrable experience in assessing the effects/impact of training

  • Human resource management, including principles behind recruitment, selection, and succession planning

  • Experience with Salesforce or a similar platform

  • Strong customer and personal service skills, including customer needs assessment, evaluation of customer satisfaction experience

  • Familiar with working cross-culturally

  • Perform regular internal and external evaluations

  • Develop and maintain relevant training materials and tip sheets appropriate to current learning principles

  • Ensure all company training documentation is up to date

  • Assist with special customer projects

  • Attend seminars and industry events to stay abreast of the latest developments in education, learning principles, and industry updates/evolutions

  • Excellent communication skills

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Master’s Degree or clinical experience preferred

  • At least 4 years of training experience

  • Demonstrated leadership, coaching and mentoring skills

  • Strong written, oral and interpersonal communication skills

  • Excellent computer software skills with working knowledge of all MS Office Products

  • Detail oriented and the ability to set priorities and objectives

  • Up to 25% travel
