Job Description

As Sales Manager for our Preanalytical Systems, you will be looking after a team of 4 BD Associates covering the eastern and western part of Switzerland. The objectives of your role will be the management and motivation of your team to achieve an above-average performance. Your duties will include the Sales of Preanalytical products in the sales area to private laboratories, universities, hospitals, blood banks, Pharma and CRO. You will Implement and supervise sales techniques (Salesforce.com, BD Way of Selling) with regard to strategic sales focusing on development and implementation of customer-specific business plans. In the field of Systematic management you will focus on leading, serving as a role model and directing the staff with the objectives of:

  • Maintaining and improving staff motivation

  • Agreeing on objectives and ensuring their implementation

  • Monitoring the staff's training level and improving the quality of sales discussions

  • Assessing staff members' conduct towards customers and adapting it to the objectives and requirements

  • Preempting undesirable developments and misconduct

You will prepare budgets and forecasts for a specified area of responsibility and regularly balance the forecasts and budgets in order to recognize divergences from the regional objectives as early as possible and take appropriate corrective measures. Furthermore, the regular planning, control and analysis of turnover, sales volume and gross profit developments in the sales region per employee and for individual customers according to economic criteria, so as to draw the correct conclusions for the visit activities, visit frequencies and employee customer selection will also be your responsibility.

About you

For this role, we are looking for someone with ideally a minimum of 5 years of sales experience and a proven sales success, preferably in highly competitive markets. You have experience in management or leadership of a team of employees and have a proven success in the management of major interdisciplinary projects (project management, product management) or in a leading coordinator role for important customers (key account management). Furthermore, you’ll have:

  • Fluency in German, French, and English

  • The right to work in Switzerland

  • Experience in working in a matrix organization

  • Experience in the healthcare sector and in the field of technical products that require explanation

  • Experience in developing business cases
