Job Description Summary
You will join our Sales team in this newly created, home-based position, to accompany our business growth in Lab Automation and Women’s Health solutions and contribute to the enhancement of laboratory efficiency. You will work in close collaboration with the whole Diagnostic Systems Central Europe Team (application specialists, account managers, project manager and engineers, microbiology consultant).
Kiestra Lab Automation introduced the concept of Total Lab Automation for the clinical microbiology lab in 2006. Since then, many laboratories have chosen to implement this modular, scalable and open architecture solution. It is designed to increase efficiency, streamline processes and to provide a new way to deliver high quality, consistent results with a fast turn-around time. The BD Kiestra™ Total Lab Automation solution is customizable and forward compatible. We offer complementary and modular microbiology workflow automation solutions from small bench top units, all the way to fully automated track-based automation systems from medium-size to extra-large laboratories.
In the clinical market for Women’s Health, we offer diverse products and services supporting proper diagnosis and treatment of various conditions including but not limited to TB, HAIs, Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Cervical Cancer abnormal cell screening tests. Our main product is BD MAX™, a fully-integrated, automated platform that performs nucleic acid extraction and real-time PCR providing results for up to 24 samples across multiple syndromes in less than three hours.

As Lab Automation – Women’s Health Sales Consultant reporting to the Sales Manager Switzerland for our Diagnostic Systems, your key responsibility will be the sales of lab automation solutions for microbiology laboratories as well as women’s health solutions for the pathology-molecular biology laboratories, across Switzerland.
You will deliver your territory targets by identifying and developing new business in close cooperation with the DS Account Manager and the Sales Manager in Switzerland. You will draft and execute a sales plan and annual budget based on the sales policy. In addition, you will analyse client needs and consult with them on the optimal solution, including explaining the importance of change management when implementing the lab automation or women’s health solution. Other responsibilities will include:
Performing and/or analysing the Automation Impact Analysis (AIA) consultancy to identify the laboratory performance and possibilities to improve efficiency and quality
Developing Business Cases in close cooperation with the potential client
Drafting quotation proposals and negotiate towards an agreement
Participating to exhibitions, seminars and visits to laboratories of reference (in Switzerland and in Europe)
Travelling within Switzerland, but also within Europe for trainings and reference customer visits in Europe.
You will also participate to frequent project review meetings with the Business Director and Product Manager Central Europe as well as with the Sales Manager in Switzerland.
To deliver the growth that we are looking for, we need a degree-level educated professional (Bachelor or Master) with a strong experience in capital equipment sales and a strategic selling approach. You have excellent business development skills as well as proven leadership skills to drive solutions and long-sales processes to completion. You are experienced in board level negotiations and are passionate about customer & relationship management. Other attributes will include:

fluent in German, English and French
You will be home-based and will travel frequently in Switzerland. You will also travel in Europe once or twice a month for short periods of time.
