Job Description SummaryThe ideal candidate should have an eye for clean and artful web design. They should also have superior user interface design skills and experience with Adobe AEM and HTML 5

The successful candidate will be able to translate high-level requirements into interaction flows and artifacts. They will be able to transform them into beautiful, intuitive, and functional designs for standard web or e-commerce modules.

Job Description

Responsibilities

  • Conceptualize original website design ideas that bring simplicity and user friendliness to complex roadblocks

  • Present and defend designs and key deliverables to peers and stakeholders

  • Create wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps to communicate interaction and design ideas

  • Work with product marketing, product leadership and marketing leadership to keep website content and images current

  • Develop website content and graphics by coordinating with copywriters, graphic artists, marketing leadership; designing images, icons, ad banners, visual and coding enhancements, etc.

  • Convert design comps to quality HTML/CSS for various CMS and website platforms

  • Update digital content and graphics; monitor performance and results; identify and evaluate improvement options; introduce new technology; maintain links and online documents

  • Understand (or be willing to learn) how to maintain online presence and perform website updates in a regulatory environment

  • Advise internal teams on all issues relating to the website; troubleshoot website-related issues

  • Adhere to and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards

Requirements

  • BS/MS in Human-Computer Interaction, Computer Science, Interactive Design or a Visual Arts subject

  • 2+ years relevant web design and coding experience required

  • Demonstrable web design skills with a strong portfolio

  • Solid experience in creating wireframes, storyboards, user flows, process flows and site maps

  • Proficiency in Photoshop, Illustrator, DreamWeaver or other visual design and wire-framing tools

  • Proficiency in HTML, HTML 5, CSS and JavaScript for rapid prototyping

  • Experience with Adobe CMS (AEM)

  • Experience with Ingeniux CMS a plus

  • Excellent visual design skills with sensitivity to user-system interaction

  • Proficient understanding of the web development process (design, development, deployment)

  • Good understanding of web security and best practice

  • Ability to solve problems creatively and effectively

  • Up-to-date with the latest web trends, techniques and technologies
